Orange County Chapter
The Orange County Chapter of the West Coast Section of the Air & Waste Management Association (A&WMA) which is a non-profit, nonpartisan technical, scientific and educational organization with almost 5,000 U.S. and international members. Founded in 1907, A&WMA provides a non-partisan forum where all viewpoints of an environmental or risk assessment issue (technical, scientific, economic and social) can be aired and discussed. This worldwide network represents many disciplines: physical and social sciences, health and medicine, engineering and law. A&WMA attracts participation of decision-makers from agencies, industry, business and the academic and research communities.
The Chapter seeks to serve its members, and those of the wider A&WMA, by providing opportunities for technological exchange, professional development, public education and networking through a program of regular meetings, educational forums, tours of environmentally relevant sites and operations, and through the support of local communities and educational activities. The Chapter welcomes new members and their participation.
